Holiday Reinhorn is a writer but noted for being the wife of famous actor Rainn Wilson. She was born in Portland, Oregon, USA on 12 March 1964. Rainn Wilson is famous for his work in the television industry. He played the role of Dwight Schrute in the famous series “The Office”. He basically works on short series or movies that look quite simple and interesting and also provide some message to society.

Early Life and Education

Holiday grown up in Portland by her parents. Her father was the dentist and her mother was the teacher. After a few years, her father joined the US Army. She traveled to a lot of Asian countries with he parents.  After a few years of traveling and shifting, she eventually came back to the US to continue her studies, and she attended high school in Colorado. 

Holidays wanted to take a break from her studies, and she joined acting classes in Washington, where she met her future husband, Rainn Wilson. 

Afterward, she pursued her dream of writing by enrolling at the Lowa Writers Workshop, a creative writing program held at the University of Lowa. The citizens of the US considered it the best program in the country. And the University gets many prizes as well because of this program. 

The career of Holiday Reinhorn

Reinhorn released her first book called “Big Cats” in 2005. This book has a collection of short stories which motivate people. You can see her work in various magazines as well such as “Ploughshares” which features writers who have won various awards. 

Holiday used to take classes at the University of California, where she used to teach about writing and literature. Her husband runs the organization called Lide Foundation in which she loves to do charity. This organization provides luxury life to teenage girls, who are subjected to rape, abuse, and poverty. The foundation has grown to cover 14 villages within the country and has provided many teenage girls with scholarships.

Rainn Wilson: Who was he?

Wilson was born into an artistic family. His mother was an Actress and his father was a novelist. He was born in Nicaragua before returning to the US where he took up his education. Rainn has done his schooling from New Trier High School,  he enrolled at the University of Washington where he took a degree in drama. He then continued his studies, completing a Master of Fine Arts in acting.

Initially, Rainn did theoretical productions and also did the job of driver to pay his bills. In 1997 he made his first debut in the soap opera “One Life to Live”, followed in 1999 by his film debut in “Galaxy Quest”, before gaining a supporting role in “Almost Famous”.

In the same year, he made his debut in the famous series “The Office” which has eight seasons. This series has been loved by the citizens till now. After that, he got several awards as well. 

While working on the show, the rise of his popularity meant that he gained was super. He also did voice acting, lending his voice to “Monsters vs. Aliens”. One of his latest projects is a recurring role in “Star Trek: Discovery” which began airing on CBS in 2017. The show takes place before the original “Star Trek” show, following the story of the crew of the ship, the USS Discovery.

Apart from acting, he’s also ventured into business in writing. He is one of the founders of the company SoulPancake, and has released an autobiography called “The Bassoon King”.

Personal life

The couple started their relationship when they met in Washington. They got married in 1995 and the ceremony was held at the Kalama River; they have a son together, and homes in Los Angeles and Sisters, Oregon, moving to them depending on their work needs. The couple loves to do charity. They have also raised funds for the Mona Foundation which helps developing countries.
